This position can be based inMinneapolis, MNoffice. This is a position for which your focus will be to support and execute hydro and dam related projects and ensure technical excellence within the existing team. You will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team providing engineering services to large and small hydropower and dams owners across the USA and globally.Position reports to the Regional Manager USA | Hydropower & DamsYou will have the opportunity to be involved in some of the most exciting hydropower and dam projects worldwide. You will be part of a Hydropower team that includes experts that are respected and recognized across the industry.As the successful candidate, you will:Manage projects from concept to constructionProvide technical expertise (for area of specialization) on projectsLead and manage the process of engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and procedures to ensure successful project completionManage design teams for successful completion of projectsBe responsible for the preparation of technical memos, reports, specifications, and cost estimatesSeal technical documents and drawings, as requiredResolve overall design and project execution issues, as requiredLead preparation of proposals, including the development of work plans and budgetsDevelop and implement business development plansMaintain a strong client focus and a commitment to achieve positive results and building key relationshipsPromote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of engineering work; work to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles documentationYou bring to the role:Bachelor's in Engineering (Civil/Structural / Geotechnical / Hydrotechnical / Electrical / Mechanical) from an accredited college or universityA minimum of 5 years of hydropower and dams related experienceIndustry recognition as an expert in an area of expertise or specialization (e.g. concrete or embankment dam design, powerhouse design, turbine/generators, mechanical or electrical balance of plant design, flow control equipment, penstocks, etc.)Experience in dam safety assessmentsExperience in design and rehabilitation of hydropower stations and dams and related componentsExperience in commissioning and decommissioningExperience in construction supervision and contract adminProven experience in the types of analyses and design processes required by the Canadian Dam Association Dam Safety Guidelines and Practice BulletinsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and relationship management skillsDemonstrated ability in leading technical discussions, presentations, and technical reportsLeadership skills with a proven aptitude to mentor and develop junior engineers, designers, and techniciansClient responsive with a history of successful business development and client relationshipsAbility to travel within the USA and internationally on short term assignments, as requiredRegistration or eligibility to be registered, and licensed to practice as a Professional EngineerWhy join us?Work with great people to make a differenceCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsTop employer What we offer you?Flexible work environmentLong term career developmentThink globally, work locallyDon't meet every single requirement?
