Stormwater Project Engineer

Reputable Chicagobased firm is hiring a Stormwater Project Engineer for their team in Peoria!

Responsibilities:

Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways (bridge and culvert crossings)
Analyze flood problem areas to identify problems look for solutions and create a design with recommended alternatives
Stormwater system analysis and design for municipal/roadway projects (conveyance storage and stormwater quality best management practices)
Design of soil erosion/sediment control practices
Serve as the technical lead on projects
Perform a variety of design tasks (calculations/models report/plan preparation quantity calculations construction details specifications cost estimates and other related tasks)
Work on multidiscipline projects with other disciplines
Review engineering work completed by others
Build/maintain client and vendor relationships
Mentor/train junior staff
Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in civil engineering

7 years of water resources experience
Experience with municipal and/or highway drainage design projects
PE License for Illinois and/or Indiana
Proficient in Microstation
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (including HECRAS and SWMM)
Experience in AutoCad preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
