Job summary
Under general supervision of a Storehouse Supervisor, the Storekeeper learns and perfects the following skills: performs warehousing activitiesIssues medical supplies, receives and delivers packages and medical supplies, responds to clinical unit requests for supplies and performs Storekeeper responsibilitiesBecomes knowledgeable of hospital medical supplies and inventory, cross-trained in the stocking and replenishment of 39+ clinical units

Responsibilities
• Perform warehousing activities• Issue medical supplies• Receive and deliver packages and medical supplies• Respond to clinical unit requests for supplies• Perform Storekeeper responsibilities• Order, receive, and replenish medical supplies for clinical units• Clean, straighten, and restock medical supplies• Anticipate the needs of the units• Transfer and store mattresses, commodes, etc.• Operate manual and powered equipment
Requirements
• Minimum one (1) year of previous Storekeeper experience in a large, complex Healthcare environment; or equivalent combination of education/experience or recent related experience• Proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, fractions, etc.• Demonstrated ability to read and write in English• Excellent English communication skills
