In the Sterling Plant Manager role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, lead complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and shape business strategy.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to all organizations and individuals in the plant in order to meet customer requirementsBe part of the Americas Value Stream leadership team, define value stream priorities, action plans and problem solving required to meet Value Stream bowlers and metrics aligned to business priorities.Provide development of staff leaders to guide plant and support organizationsWork with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirementsLead lean transformation growing the culture of continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standardsLead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in safety, quality, delivery and cost, always with unyielding integrity.Lead the team and successful execution of customer requirements for the Warner Robins depot.Establish and maintain the plant vision for successLead employee and Union relationships, successfully complete contract negotiations with the CBAFacilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making andproblem-solvingProvide leadership development and performance feedback to the plant staffEstablish and maintain positive corporate citizenship through community organizations and the mediaWork with local legislative bodies to promote decisions with a positive impact on the businessDevelop and track expense and investment budgets with the input of each organizationEstablish and adjust an organizational structure that best supports the plant goals and measurementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations Plant Leadership).Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations Plant Leadership.Desired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to manage operations within a unionized environment.Experience leading lean manufacturing and change management initiatives for the business, including driving workforce engagement and providing feedback to all employees.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
