Job Purposes:: The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks a full-time Life Science High School teacher to join an existing school faculty and staff for the ******** school year. The curriculum will include collaboratively designed project-based learning units that connect to multiple disciplines and/or real-life issues.
Required Qualifications:: Bachelor's degree by August 1, 2024 High School science teaching license or alternative license by August 1, 2024 Outstanding communication and collaborative skills Preferred Qualifications:: Ability to integrate technology into the classroom Experience working with high school students Credentialed to teach college level courses Master's degree or master's level coursework completed Project-Based Learning ( PBL ) teaching experience Experience with collaboration and cross-curricular integration Essential Functions and percent of time:: Plan and deliver course instruction for high school students – 75% Collaborate with other teachers to develop and refine content & materials for courses – 20% Participate in various meetings (including IEPs, conferences, etc.) and professional development opportunities – 5% Working Conditions:: This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding.
