BRIDGE ESTIMATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
A premier structural steel erector has an opening for a Bridge Estimator with talent, initiative and drive to join their team and have a critical role their growing organization. They carry an AISC Certified Bridge erector certification and recently became a member of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association.

ESTIMATING PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
* Determine labor and equipment costs
* Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
* Understand project logistics (New, repair, and demolition) and project schedule
* Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
* Review quotes and estimates with the project team
* Prepare estimates and different levels of completion ( conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
* Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers
BRIDGE ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5+ years of Bridge Estimating experience
* Engineering Experience is a bonus
* Advanced computer skills with estimating software (AutoCAD)
* Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles relating to bridges
* Understand aspects of structural steel and misc metal concepts.
