THE OPPORTUNITY KFA, as part of the esteemed Lochner family of companies, is seeking a Transportation Statewide Drainage Lead, to champion our Texas operations. We are seeking a leader who possesses a strong aptitude for business development, complimented by a comprehensive technical knowledge in the field of transportation drainage, particularly with TxDOT and across Texas counties. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to sculpt our transportation drainage endeavors, not just within Texas, but throughout our associated offices nationwide. Your journey will be bolstered by our Chief Marketing Officer, Business Practice Lead (BPL), and other Senior Project Managers, who have a solid track record of securing and delivering TxDOT's most innovative and significant projects.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
Lead project pursuits, fostering cross-company collaboration and leveraging cross-discipline expertise. Assist the Drainage BPL in crafting and executing a long-term statewide strategy for the practice setting the stage for national growth. Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client partnerships. Provide project management for select projects, upholding the highest quality and operation standards. Oversee and develop proposals, contract negotiations, client presentations, and resource planning for Transportation Drainage. Requirements: PE License in Texas Bachelors or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering 15+ Years of experience in Transportation Drainage projects including planning, design, and construction Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Experience managing project teams and personnel Experience working with TxDOT, Texas counties, RMAs TxDOT Precertifications 10.1.1, 10.2.1 at a minimum Preferred Qualifications: Both Texas and national experience ABOUT US KFA is a rapidly growing, civil engineering consulting firm that focuses exclusively on serving public sector clients.
