Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for federal cooperative agreements• Process data and resolve problems related to state and federal expenditures and travel expenses• Review critical data, analyze, and present information to management• Prepare financial information for risk management decision making• Prepare computerized reports and schedules for audit and internal controls• Review and make recommendations for all accounts, reconciliations, reports, journals, ledgers, and records within the agency
Requirements
• Experience using multiple databases and financial software• Experience reconciling payment requests using information from multiple databases and/or spreadsheets• Experience with manual tracking platforms such as Microsoft Excel• Ability to manage multiple budgets and lines of accounting• Experience with projecting payroll and budget requirements• Ability to allocate funds requests and ensure compliance• Experience in developing and ensuring compliance for contract requirements• Knowledge and application of professional accounting theories and principles
Key Skills Needed
• Experience using multiple databases and financial software• Knowledge of professional accounting theories and principles• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
