Staking Engineer

Job summary
Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is hiring a Staking Engineer.Join a team that designs, expands, and updates CREC facilities.Work under the direction of the System Engineer.

Responsibilities
• Plot and stake lines for electric service extensions.• Prepare staking sheets for repair and replacement of facilities.• Procure easements necessary to cover CREC facilities.• Inspect existing facilities for maintenance needs.• Coordinate with Owners, Developers, Civil Engineers for new facility extensions.• Stay informed on Cooperative policies, procedures, codes, and legal requirements.
Requirements
• Working knowledge of construction plans and record plats.• Familiarity with easements and Right of Ways.• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an apprentice lineman.• High school diploma or equivalent.• Valid driver's license.• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.• Availability for callout on emergencies or outages.• Overtime may be required.
