Serving residents in a very active community full of fun, family, and opportunities to serve.Job DescriptionThe Staff Development Coordinator provides, plans, coordinates, and manages orientation and in-service education for facility employees. The coordinator also talks on the role of the Infection Prevention/Control Coordinator, and is responsible for designing systems and approving actions to prevent/control and monitor reports of infections and/ or potential infections among residents and staff.ResponsibilitiesAsses learning needs and designs in-service and continuing ed programs based on quality assurance data to meet needs and regulatory guidelinesDevelops, implements, communicated, and evaluates annual training planDevelops specific teaching plans and programs to cover training needs for all roles on a regular basis.Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care is held to highest standard and all facility policies and procedures are carried out by every staff member.QualificationsMust hold current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical NurseExperience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required.
