Hello! Our client is in need of a staff accountant to assist with supporting the current sr. accountants and accounting managers. The team has a total of 10 accountants, and these positions will be highly focused on account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and preparing financial reports for the sr. accounting team. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to be on-site for 2-3 days a week for training and then have the option to move to a remote schedule!

Description Responsible for assigned activities within the Accounting Department. Communicates and reports to Sr. Accountant(s) and Assistant Controller status updates of assigned functions and projects.
Handling account reconciliations
Providing journal entries
Applied understanding of accruals
Preparing financial reporting
GL system is Fiserv Prolog
Performs a variety of routine accounting functions: prepares internal and external financial reporting. Analyzes financial data; prepares journal entries; meets various project and reporting deadlines; and works with partners on accounting activity.
Performs cash daily management, including borrowing monies, transfer of monies between accounts, and monitoring cash balances.
Performs general ledger account reconciliations and, if applicable, reviews other department reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and unresolved variances. Responsibilities include: timely review and resolution of variances, monitoring of outstanding activity, and timely communication of unresolved variances to management.
Updates and, if applicable, creates procedures and/or narratives for assigned tasks. Including, but not limited to: key controls, system reports, frequency of process, process flows, etc.
Provide support on assigned projects by taking notes, perform testing, present testing results to project team, and document project for Accounting Team reference.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting
Strong Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V lookups, and H lookups)
Strong understanding of Accrual accounting
Financial reporting knowledge
