We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team and contribute to our school's mission to form Christian leaders. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily management of accounting functions. If you are passionate about education, finance, and Catholic values, we invite you to apply for the Staff Accountant position.Position is part-time, up to 20hrs/week (with the potential to increase).Summary of Responsibilities:Manage the financial operations of the school in accordance with Catholic principles and financial best practices.Reconcile bank accounts, prepare, and maintain accurate financial records: providing the Board of Directors with monthly and quarterly financials and any additional financial information as needed/requested.Bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner.Finalize Tuition Agreements, track payments and delinquencies, assist families with payment plans.Assist with the semi-monthly payroll, when needed.Prepare annual 1099s for contractors, provide families with tax statements, upon request.Prepare and make bank deposits at the local branch.Development of annual budget and financial plans.Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.Facilitate audits, ensuring compliance with audit requests and requirements.Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a related field (Finance, Business).Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a school or parish.
