A day in the life of this role: Dive into a dynamic day at Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS), where your role is pivotal to our story of success and community service. As part of our finance team, you'll bring your passion and expertise to a variety of critical tasks that keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently .
Summary of duties: Take on a crucial role working closely with the Controller to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily, monthly, and year-end activities within the Accounting/Finance Department.
Financial Mastery: Handle cash receipts with precision, prepare journal entries, and delve into financial reports and data analysis with a keen eye. NetRX Savvy: Keep the NetRX system and pharmacy cash receipts schedule up-to-date. Grant Management : Provide reliable support in grant-related activities and step in for the grant accountant when needed. Audit Assistance: Be instrumental in the preparation for the year-end audit, ensuring all reconciliations and schedules are spot-on, and provide support during the financial statements and internal controls audit. Regulatory Reporting: Craft schedules for various regulatory reports with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance across the board. Additional Duties Serve as a dependable backup for both payroll and accounts payable. functions. Engage in diverse special projects including audits, reconciliations, and regulatory requests. What we need from you: Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, with a preference for those with experience in non-profit health care or social service organizations. Experience : At least 3- 5 years in a finance-related role. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a knack for building strong relationships. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is a plus, alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills. Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work harmoniously with clients, Work Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:30-4pm Must be on site 5 days a week.
