Job Description St. James Hotel, a renowned establishment committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, is seeking a Banquet Assistant Manager to join our team. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Banquet Department, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards. Coordinate banquet activities to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction and uphold 4 Diamond quality standards in food and service. Provide leadership and direction to the service staff, including task assignments, coaching, and performance management. Foster positive relationships with guests to enhance retention, promote loyalty, and address any concerns or complaints promptly. Conduct frequent inspections of event spaces to ensure proper setup and presentation. Maintain a high level of staff effectiveness through communication, training, and development initiatives. Implement event billing procedures, monitor inventory, and adhere to budgetary constraints to achieve financial objectives. Qualifications Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred and a minimum of two years of related experience in a premier banquet and conference facility, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrated ability to create visually appealing food presentations and maintain attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and management; Previous supervisory experience is required; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet navigation, Point of Sale, Inventory Management, and Sales & Catering systems; Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems effectively; Customer service orientation with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations; Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
This is a full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 45 hours per week. However, this role can expect to work a minimum of 50 hours per week to ensure the responsibilities of the role are completed.
