Sr. Technician, Vehicle Dynamics

We are looking for a Sr. Vehicle Dynamics Technician to help develop a state-of-the-art electric vehicle with a passionate team. Our ideal candidate understands vehicle suspension, steering and brake systems—preferably with motorsport or dynamics tuning experience.The RoleSupport preparation, component upgrades, and maintenance of vehicle dynamics prototype fleetPerform and streamline component swaps (springs, stabilizer bars, dampers, bushings, etc.) during tuning sessionsCollaborate with development team to deliver world-class ride and handling attributesTravel and/or transport vehicles to test tracks around the country, including proving grounds, winter test, press events, and racetracksInstall robust data acquisition systems on prototype vehicles: accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, CAN, etc.Troubleshoot and document mechanical and electric issues, including fabrication where necessaryDrive vehicles to evaluate vehicle health status, test featuresCreate and develop service and maintenance documents (service manual procedure, containments, etc.)Critical thinking skills without instruction manuals or workbooksQualificationsAutomotive technician degree or equivalent work experienceProven record of innovation and problem solvingExperience with high-performance or luxury vehiclesAbility to travel (40-50%)Own a professional automotive toolboxAvailable to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when neededTechnical and mechanical skill-set Proficient with hand and power tools Able to handle numerous ambiguity projects simultaneously with ease Extremely high attention to safety and detailsProof of excellence in your past position Experience using electrical test equipmentAdvantageousMotorsport backgroundWorking knowledge of CAN, electronics, and data loggingFabrication skillsUnderstanding of high-voltage vehicle systemsWire harness building (soldering, crimping, splicing) etc.
