Who You Are:
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Critical Start, you'll be the go-to technical support for our Managed Cyber Risk Reduction (MCRR) solutions during the sales process. Your role involves explaining how our cybersecurity offerings, including Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Risk Assessments, Asset Inventory, and Vulnerability Management, can lower overall cybersecurity risk for potential customers.
Your day-to-day includes giving clear solution overviews, demonstrating our capabilities, and working closely with Account Executives and Channel Partners to create and execute sales plans in your assigned territory: TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas). Your expertise in cybersecurity will help customers understand the benefits of our MCRR solutions and how they can enhance their security. Through demos and presentations, you'll highlight the features of our CORR platform.
Your contribution is key to our sales strategy, aiming for growth and success. Your ability to showcase the value of our solutions will play a vital role in acquiring new customers and expanding our presence in the market.
What You Will Be Doing?:
In your assigned region: TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas), you'll directly engage with potential customers, Sales Representatives, Channel Partner Representatives, and Sales Engineers. Your key responsibilities include:
Participating in discussions about our CORR (Cyber Operations Risk Response) and SOC capabilities.
Using supporting materials to demonstrate how our MDR offering integrates seamlessly into potential customers' incident response workflows.
Conducting scoping conversations aligned with our primary toolset, including EPP/EDR, SIEM, and Identity solutions.
Collaborating with Account Managers to plan account-specific approaches.
Delivering demonstrations of our CORR Portal and MobileSOC Application.
Demonstrating knowledge of third-party products supported by our offerings.
Building relationships with presales technical resources from channel and product partners.
Collaborating with product management teams to convey valuable customer feedback.
Creating customer-facing materials that reinforce Critical Start's thought leadership in Detection & Response.
Delivering thought leadership presentations to larger audiences.
Assisting customers in defining or refining key requirements for their security projects.
Leading interactive capabilities demonstrations.
Anticipating and being prepared for 40%-50% travel within your assigned region.
Through these tasks, you'll play a crucial role in engaging potential customers, presenting the value of our MDR offering, aligning with their needs, and showcasing Critical Start's expertise as a leader in Detection & Response. Your interactions with prospects, partners, and stakeholders will be instrumental in driving the success of our sales efforts in your region.
What You Will Bring?:
To excel in this role and meet its requirements, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

Required Qualifications:
Cybersecurity Expertise:

A background in cybersecurity with 5+ years of hands-on experience, showcasing a solid understanding of various cybersecurity aspects.
Technical Proficiency:

1+ year of practical experience in either hands-on, program management, with SIEM, EPP/EDR, or Identity products, demonstrating technical acumen.
Geographic Requirement:

Candidates must be physically located within Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or Arkansas for effective collaboration, customer engagement, and regional sales support.
Effective Communication:

Strong communication skills across all organizational levels, with the ability to convey complex messages clearly to diverse audiences.
Prioritization and Schedule Management:

Skill in maintaining focus on daily schedules, prioritizing customer meetings, and efficient time management.
Objection Handling and Competitive Positioning:

Demonstrable experience in handling objections and effectively positioning solutions against competitors.
Attack Mitigation Expertise:

Clear understanding of leading attack types and how tools like EPP/EDR, SIEM, and Identity products mitigate threats.
Desired Qualifications:
MDR, MSSP, or Microsoft Security Suite Experience:

Direct experience in MDR, MSSP, or with the Microsoft Security Suite is a plus.
Certifications:

Possession of relevant certifications like CISSP, CISA, CCSP, or similar, validating expertise in the field.
Channel Partnerships:

Experience working with channel partners, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively and drive sales outcomes.
Collectively, these qualifications demonstrate your ability to communicate cybersecurity concepts, understand customer needs, navigate objections, and position solutions effectively. Your technical proficiency and strategic insight will contribute to the success of our sales efforts in the cybersecurity arena.

Compensation
For positions that can or will be performed, in whole or in part, remotely within the U.S., range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (sales roles only).

Compensation:
The total compensation range (base+commission) being offered for this role is [$180,000 - $240,000]. This role is eligible for performance-based variable compensation.
