This role spans the full range of PDP activities, focusing on high powered surgical laser systems (Capital Equipment).Your responsibilities will include:Utilize expertise in Design Controls, including Design Inputs, Design Outputs, Risk Management, and Verification activities to complete deliverables and support program milestones. Successfully complete complex engineering work in one or more of the following: technology development, product design and development, preparation of specifications and report preparation.Select techniques to solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations.Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from complex test results.Design and prepare complex reports to communicate results to technical community.Design and coordinate complex engineering tests and experiments.Coordinate, manage, and document project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment.Translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.Responsible for engineering documentation.Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.May train and/or provide work direction to technicians and entry-level engineers.Required Qualifications:B.S. in Engineering or related field5+ years of relevant industry experienceSelf-motivated with strong history of solving problemsStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with team membersExperience with design controls, including design changes and design verificationPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with the PDP/PLCP and BSC Quality systemSystems Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or Optics backgroundStrong communication skillsFlexibility required to work with global teamsRequisition ID:581772Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substance testing requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
