This position follows the Quality Assurance Department's objectives to increase product quality and implement continual improvement throughout the manufacturing process. There will be specific tasks and long-term projects assigned for completion that will require appropriate documentation with periodic reporting to management. The ideal candidate for a Sr. Quality Assurance Tech would be able to do the following: Receive, inspect and create records of incoming raw materials and components Issue accepted materials to production stocking areas Inspect internal fabrication parts for audit / compliance requirements as needed Manage the internal calibration/verification program Respond to daily quality issues as they arise in manufacturing. Manages Inspection / Calibration documents Support Shock & Vibe test requirements in a backup role Process rejected materials to MRB area per SOP-10 RTV / Scrap guidelines Escalate quality issues when systemic issues are identified in the MRB process Monitor and suggest improvement changes related to drawings, specifications and material requirements Support internal and external PPAP activities for NPD verification when required Participate in problem solving activities for top issues as assigned Support internal non-conformances using root cause analysis and support containment and countermeasure implementation when applicable Participate in cross-functional teams (Kaizen, C.I., etc) as requested Support internal auditing as assigned Other project work as assigned Qualifications For a candidate to be successful as a Sr. Quality Assurance Tech they must have: This position requires an individual capable of working independently on tasks, conception through completion. The candidate must be detail minded and capable of using inspection-measuring equipment including micrometers, digital calipers, height gauges and other common inspection tools. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office are necessary, as documentation and record keeping is essential. EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIRED: Associate Degree in the area of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or equivalent job experience Able to accumulate and analyze data to identify and resolve problems Able to read engineering drawings Strong analytical, problem solving, and team skills in a cross functional atmosphere Experience with Corrective / Preventive action management tools Strong organization, communication and time management skills Certified Quality Inspector preferred ISO 13485 / 9001 Auditor experience preferred Experience with 21 CFR 820 preferred Additional Information We are looking for team-members that exemplify and live our High FIVE values:
