Job Overview TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.  
The Medical business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Sr. Quality & Reliability Engineer at its Wilsonville, OR manufacturing plant.  Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Sr. Quality & Reliability Engineer is the key role for ensuring all quality requirements are achieved.   The successful candidate will provide quality leadership and expertise to the multi-functional team supporting production of medical products.

Primary responsibilities include:
•    Lead quality improvement projects and support other continuous improvement projects. 
•    Lead problem solving activities using BD, Shiann 
•    Drive proactive quality initiatives needed to prevent quality problems
•    Support Supplier Quality & Purchasing as needed to prevent quality problems.
•    Ensure proper control of nonconforming materials & lead MRB activities.
•    Implement and maintain process quality control.
•    Maintain quality plans for responsible value streams.
•    Plan & conduct process audits & product audits; support customer audits including communication, coordination & responses.
•    Effectively address customer complaints, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions & customer communications.
•    Coordinate changes to products & process.
What your background should look like: Background:
•    Bachelor of Science in Engineering or science related field.
•    Min of 5 yrs. exp in Mfg environment with focus on quality assurance
•    Self-motivation & ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong problem-solving skills & experience.
•    Excellent written & verbal communication skills essential.
•    Knowledge & understanding of electrical & mechanical principles.
•    Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485, etc.
•    Experience in high-mix, low-volume Mfg environment is highly desired.
•    Experience in medical devices/industry is a plus.
•    Experience with electro-mechanical testing is desired
•    Highly desired qualifications include Six Sigma Black Belt and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $88,080k - $132,120k annually(subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
