Title: Sr Programmer, Web Services API Developer
Location: (Remote, Pacific Time Zone Hours)
Duration: 12+ months long term contract
Compensation: $59.00-$65.00/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Scope of Work
The consultant will work with our Government client's IT teams and complete the assigned tasks in the scope of work in accordance with the CLIENT IT standards and procedures. The consultant must provide the following based on the agreed upon project plan/schedule:
Create API endpoints (c# Web API) that can communicate with an AWS RDBMS that follow a consistent maintainable format. Well documented code Utilize existing APIs as a starting point and/or as supplemental information. Create OpenAPI (swagger) documentation for endpoints Create unit tests Design data models that align with business needs and understand how to make legacy data fit in that model Utilize provided Client resources for questions/clarifications related to items #1 and #2. Participate in code reviews. Be available to CLIENT's personnel for online consultation/meetings related to the APIs, and data models: M-F, 9a-4p PDT (pacific time zone). Provide weekly reports on progress, including accomplishments and blockers, as well as the latest copy of code. Maintain privacy and security of data. Experience and Skills Required Minimum Education: 4 year Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or closely related field. Have the ability to perform the functions described in Scope of Work section. Have a minimum of 5+ years of web service programming on enterprise platforms writing and debugging RESTful web services. Experience with Microsoft .Net/C# development and programming. Have experience working in an Agile development framework, using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, or other integrated development environments. Have good English communication, documentation and user requirement gathering skills. Be a team player who can work with others under a complex team structure. Experience and Skills Preferred Experience working with ETL processes, or other methods of data exchanges and integrations. Experience working with Salesforce, such as administration, development, or integration projects. Experience using the MuleSoft integration platform. Experience creating IT diagrams with tools like Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar. OTHER:100% remote work allowed. Must be able to work Pacific time zone core work hours (9am - 4pm Pac) Mon-Fri.
