Responsibilities
• Develop and implement material sourcing strategies• Select and approve suppliers• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost objectives and favorable terms• Provide functional leadership to plant purchasing and planning• Perform cost and risk analysis on assigned categories• Lead cross functional teams for cost reduction and process improvements• Identify alternative materials and coordinate qualification process• Resolve disputes with suppliers and support trade compliance• Manage and implement cost saving projects• Continuous contact with other people requiring various communication methods
Requirements
• 4-year college degree (Business related, Engineering)• 10+ years experience in procurement• Flexible packaging industry experience is a plus• Nationally recognized professional certification is a plus• Good interpersonal and negotiating skills• Proficiency with Microsoft suite and working knowledge of logistics• Flexible schedule and ability to travel
