How will you make an impact? Our team is dynamic and fast paced, relying on teamwork, multitasking, and communication within the team and the larger organization. We are seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, technical and operational skills to join our team.
What will you do? Read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures. Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for: Dispensing of biological reagents Reagent and buffer preparation Printing labels and labeling bottles, vials, and boxes Packaging, sealing, and scanning of assays Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed. Handle and work with biological and chemical reagents. Responsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products as well as in-house supplies. Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity. Properly manage inventories physically and systematically in SAP as well as perform cycle counts. Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure expectations, progress, and results are clearly understood. Review data, recognize, and report inconsistencies to supervisor. Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes. Assist in developing, writing and instituting necessary protocols. Frequent contact with Production Department, Warehouse, Purchasing and other laboratory personnel with a variety of technical and functional backgrounds. Assist in keeping a safe environment. All laboratory personnel are expected to notify their supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and/or practices and to take appropriate corrective actions. How will you get here? Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Two (2) years of related laboratory experience or 2 years college course work in Biotechnology, Sciences, or other technical field Current Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Experience with PPI Business System preferred. Experience with New Product Introductions and being part of project teams preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and practices. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Ability to perform routine tasks accurately, efficiently, and according to schedules as assigned. Able to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to train other lower-level staff in production procedures. Ability to solve problems that may come up in the department, troubleshoot, and think critically. The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $20.00–$29.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
