POSITION PURPOSEThe Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for (including but not limited to) the oversight of strategic as well as the day to day execution of preventive, corrective, and emergency mechanical maintenance; to ensure goals and KPI's for HSEC, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Cost are achieved for the overall Mine Maintenance area. This position also manages all activities including schedule execution and completion, and cost control related to Maintenance. In addition, this role provides strong leadership and mentors team members to operate in a manner consistent with company values. The position role also provides timely and accurate reporting for the area as required.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESComprehensive knowledge of mining maintenance with an emphasis towards the Capstone Copper Asset Management framework; to be used as guidance towards the strategic execution of all maintenance activities.Engage workforce on the continuous improvement of all Pinto Valley Mine (PVM) and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.Work in compliance with all Pinto Valley Mine Standard Operating Procedures.Build relationships with workforce with a goal of creating a transparent workplace culture of continuous improvement as it relates to safety.Work closely with leadership at PVM to ensure that programs, projects and initiatives are carried out in a way that is consistent with PVM's safety management system, industry best practice and MSHA regulatory requirements.Support the site in using personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with industry best practice, and ensure the proper storage and distribution of PPE.Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required.Directly engage with Mechanical and Electrical Personnel to understand and mitigate hazards inherit to those professions.Lead and develop SOP, Policies, and procedures for Maintenance personnel to ensure as practical as possible all jobs are safe at Pinto ValleyRequirements4 years previous Mine Maintenance experience (mobile equipment, fixed plant equipment, planning, etc.) Strong technical background with working knowledge of theories, practices, methods and procedures in mechanical maintenance and other functions. Completed in-house testing and certifications where required.Good understanding and working knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations for mines and mineral processing plants. Technical background and familiarity with equipment. Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis capabilities. Intermediate computer skills; Microsoft Office, Outlook. SAP experience. Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English. Audits/Inspections/ObservationsProvide coaching and feedback to employees and contractors to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.Provide coaching and feedback to employees and contractors to ensure behaviors of a safe culture are upheld.Ensure FLRA, JSA, risk assessment, and pre-ops are understood and completed thoroughly to ensure alignment with safety culture.Complete Work Order Reviews to ensure hazards are identified with Proper SOP, Policies and/or Procedures outlined to mitigate those hazardsTrainingEnsure employees' voices are heard in response to training needs.Ensure Mechanical and Electrical Employees have proper training for safe job performance.Work with Mine Maintenance Training to develop and execute Maintenance Safety Training Identify safety related interdependencies of Job Execution.
