Description:
The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will be designing, developing and assisting with implementation of blow molding and custom equipment. They will be doing this from scratch but also making edits when necessary - all within Solidworks. The engineer will receive the customer design proposal to review, review specs and calculation, the bills of materials (BOM's), all to determine if the design is feasible. They will work with and communicate with production floor on a daily basis. it will be a mix of on the floor and behind the desk designing, going to meetings to exchange ideas and provide information to necessary parties. They will work on a team of 2 other ME's and the manager.
There would be a 90 day and 6 month review - depending on learning curve of the candidate they will become a supervisor and have 2-4 direct reports
Skills & Qualifications:
Must Haves:
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Design
+ Experience designing custom equipment from scratch
+ Experience designing with CAD (Solidworks strongly preferred)
+ Experience using GD&T
+ Goal to be a Supervisor
Nice to Haves:
+ Experience working with metals
