Job Summary: Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and RMS systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
Improve cycle time and lead time
Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Create and oversee improvement projects
Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
Perform hardware defect analysis
Participate in corrective action investigations
A PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics ( STEM ) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access ( ATF ).
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

+ Preferred degrees: Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace EngineeringExperience with manufacturing
+ Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation
+ Experience/education with project execution
+ Experience with SAP
+ Experience or education with lean manufacturing
+ Experience/education with technical writing
+ Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Technical problem solving
+ Current DOD Security clearance
+ Working Environments:
+ This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
