The Impact You'll MakeAs the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting, you will facilitate our financial reporting process and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404b process, tackling highly complex technical accounting matters. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll be visible to Recursion's senior leadership team. In this role, you will:LeadRecursion's Sarbanes-Oxley 404b compliance processes, policies and proceduresDirect and overseethe external team's controls design and test, while maintaining a superb vendor relationshipEnsuretop-quality execution of our SOX 404b framework across all business functions Managethe SEC annual and quarterly 10-K / 10-Q filings process including the financial statements, footnotes and MD&A, ensuring compliance with all reporting and disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP and the SEC (including iXBRL)Managecomplex accounting processes including revenue, equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, leases, goodwill, intangibles, consolidations and intercompany eliminationsAssessthe impact of financial reporting information received from other functions and service providersPartnerwith Legal and Investor Relations to prepare financial communications for earnings releases and annual reportingStay currenton technical accounting matters, assist with research on technical accounting topics, and implementing new accounting standardsAssistwith external auditors quarterly review and annual audit processesLiaisewith the finance leadership team, external public accountants, attorneys, and internal departmentsAssistwith cross-functional projects on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. Financial Planning and Analysis forecasting or finance-related software implementations)Developand implement improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting deliverablesLocation:This hybrid position is based in Salt Lake City, with at least 2 days per week of in-person work at our corporate headquarters.The Team You'll Join The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting reports to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. This team works on various technical accounting and financial reporting areas including both recurring and non-recurring items. This team works to provide high-caliber technical accounting and financial reporting for the Company. As part of this team you will have broad exposure to numerous teams within Recursion and build strong internal business partnerships. You will also interact with several external business partners.  The Experience You'll NeedBachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting with 9+ years of experience either at a Big Four public accounting firm or a combination of public accounting and public multinational company experience Active CPA certification preferredPharmaceutical or Biotech industry experience preferredExperience leading both SEC reporting and technical accountingDeep knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, SOX 404b compliance and SEC reporting regulationsStrong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomesExcellent knowledge of Microsoft office, ERP applications (general ledger software, consolidation software, etc) and financial reporting tools (such as Workiva)How You'll be SupportedAttend CPE classes including conferences for keeping your CPA license active, to learn from colleagues and network Ability to participate and learn from your colleagues in our regular manager journal club & tech talksOption to participate in coaching like BetterUp for leadership skills and development programsTeam outings and events to help provide an opportunity to network within the finance team and foster a team environmentAt Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly.
