KC Scholars (dba Great Jobs KC) (www.greatjobskc.org) is a 501(c)(3) college scholarship and tuition-free job training program. Its goal is to support persistence and increase the college completion rate for low- and modest-income students across the six-county, bi-state service region and secure family-sustaining careers. The organization was designed to change thousands of individual lives and transform the region by preparing the local future workforce and contributing to the regional economy. The KC Scholars Scholarship Program awards traditional college scholarships to high school juniors, adult learner scholarships to adults 18 years and older, and college savings match awards to high school freshmen. The Great Jobs KC program provides tuition assistance to approved career training programs in high-demand industries such as construction, healthcare, information technology, logistics/warehousing, manufacturing, and service careers. With the support of Great Jobs KC, adults 17+ and older can learn the skills needed in one year or less to secure a job with family-sustaining wages. Great Jobs KC supports all its Scholars throughout their college or job training and into their first year of employment.  
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to:                  Chief Talent Officer
Location:                     Kansas City, MO - Hybrid (Remote and in-office as needed)
Status:                         Exempt, Full-time
Salary:                         Annual salary based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Senior Learning and Organizational Development Manager will serve a critical role as our Great Jobs KC mission and efforts expand and grow. This role is responsible for leading and implementing strategies, methodologies, and initiatives facilitating successful workforce learning and organizational development. Key focus areas include the development, outsourcing and/or facilitation of training and succession programs, leadership development efforts, support and enhancements of our performance management cycles and program, and the continuous improvement of our organizational culture and learning approach.Learning and Training:
In collaboration with key stakeholders and/or knowledge experts, conducts strategic and highly effective needs analysis to develop and implement innovative, scalable, and effective learning efforts and initiatives.
Develops and implements system-based training offerings including clear communication on expected outcomes and sustainable practices.
Manages training and organizational development efforts and projects including the identification and implementation of an LMS platform.
Identifies, activates, and manages outsourced training and learning services to meet the needs of the organization.
Develops, implements, and manages learning and training tracking, including a feedback mechanism, measurements on performance impact, and goal attainment.
Ensure the organization remains up to date with industry trends, best practices, compliance, and emerging technologies to ensure training and learning programs remain relevant and effective.
Workforce Development:
In collaboration with key stakeholders and/or knowledge experts, conduct workforce development analysis to provide tailored support through multiple methodologies such as eLearning, webinars, classroom, recorded materials, special projects, short-term assignments, and external opportunities.
Design and implement a workforce development program that provides opportunities to expand knowledge and experience through multiple avenues, experiences, or collaborative initiatives.
Partner with Talent Acquisition team to ensure development programs are integrated from entry through retention.
Lead, develop and manage the implementation of career growth ladders and provide learning and development programs to achieve success.
Lead, develop and manage a succession planning program to motivate workforce growth and expansion.
Support the Talent Acquisition team with on-boarding programs and practices to secure knowledge transfer within the new hire stage.
Leadership Development:
In collaboration with key stakeholders and/or knowledge experts, develop, implement, and manage a leadership program offering growth through an intentional and level driven strategic approach.
Identify and implement a leadership assessment with its respective plans of action to develop leadership at all levels of the organization. Outsourcing available if needed.
Assist in the development of a coaching and mentoring program as a learning opportunity and as a collaborative support mechanism.
Support leadership team members with any developmental initiatives as needed.
Performance Management:
Enhance and lead our performance management program, systems, and initiatives.
Enhance and lead our performance metrics to provide clear visibility and understanding of performance expectations and deliverables.
Lead and administrate our Individual Development Plans and Performance Improvement Plans.
Facilitate training related to the performance management program and support 100% adherence to it.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
Master's degree highly preferred.
Professional certifications in Learning and Development and/or Human Resources are a plus.
Work Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience leading or managing the Learning and Organizational Development or Human Resources function within an organization of 100 plus employees.
Minimum of five (5) years of training facilitation experience accounting for adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Experience selecting, implementing, and managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
Experience conducting a needs analysis and implementing successful and applicable learning, training, and development solutions within a diverse work environment.
Experience creating SOPs, curriculum and/or training materials while using all aspects of technological delivery (online, web based, LMS, mobile apps, etc.)

Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills (written, verbal, research skills).
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Extremely detail oriented and organized.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Ability to work in an office and remote environment.
Ability to travel from and to work and occasionally to regional sites as the organization grows.
Ability to interact with others via technology, face-to-face and collectively.
