We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! This individual will execute complete embedded software development lifecycle activities.
Responsibilities Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.Review code and design.Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.Integrate and validate new product designs.Support software QA and optimize I/O performance.Provide post production support.Interface with hardware design and development.Assess third party and open source software.Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering required.10+ years proven working experience in software engineering required.6+ years of working experience in Embedded systems development.Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.Solid programming experience in C or C++.Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.Experience in CanBus / CanOpen.Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.Strong documentation and writing skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to travel when requiredPlease review our benefits here: Life at OSI
