Responsibilities
• Gather relevant information and draft transaction documents• Provide legal solutions to business issues• Advise management on legal matters and ensure compliance• Research complex legal issues and draft summaries• Interact with internal clients and understand business unit goals• Review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents• Evaluate policies and procedures for legal compliance• Coordinate and manage outside counsel• Prepare compliance and legal briefings• Supervise and evaluate legal staff
Requirements
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills• Strong verbal and communication skills• Knowledge and understanding of corporate law• Ability to think strategically and anticipate trends• Business planning and forecasting skills• Experience in creating legal strategies• Interpersonal relationship-building and decision-making skills• Experience supporting diverse stakeholders• Strategic planning skills in a changing environment• Analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills• Team building, inclusion, and collaboration abilities• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Budgeting and forecasting experience• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school• Admission to State Bar• 7+ years of legal practice experience• 7+ years of expertise in designated area• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
