The Sr Database Engineer will provide technical oversight of cloud based databases and integration to development teams for the Wendy's Brand.They will lead various new initiatives for research and development of Cloud Native database solutions within digital technology.The candidate will work closely with our platform engineers to ensure implementations are automated and scalable.

Responsibilities
• Lead new initiatives for research and development of Cloud Native database solutions• Provide technical oversight of cloud-based databases and integration to development teams• Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of programs/solutions for Wendy's infrastructure• Act as a functional liaison between IT groups and business partners• Ensure successful transition of development projects into production from a database perspective• Work closely with platform engineers to ensure implementations are automated and scalable• Lead in the migration of digital technologies to GCP and globalization of the digital platform• Design and implement scalable and high-performance solutions for platform as a service and internal management tools• Define monitoring requirements and implement automated incident resolution solutions• Identify solutions and process improvements leading to decreased costs or improved execution• Support ongoing maintenance of business needs as necessary
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred, or related IT field and 6+ years of IT-related experience• Knowledge of Information Technology system concepts, operational procedures, operating systems, training procedures and processes, departmental functions, and strong computer applications experience• Ability to identify technical and security issues and collaborate with Security teams and vendors for remediation• Leading cross-functional teams and communicating with peers and upper management• Strong communication (written and verbal), organization, planning, leadership, and management skills• Flexibility working in a fast-paced changing environment, quick learner• Strong technical aptitude and desire to understand and develop more in-depth technical knowledge• USD $90,000.00/Yr to USD $150,000.00/Yr
