OUR COMPENSATION PHILOSOPHY

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.

The incumbent is responsible for helping gather requirements, documenting technical and design documents, translating business and technical requirements into well-engineered, documented and successfully deployed systems. The incumbent is accountable for full development life cycle including designing, developing, testing, installing, and deploying data pipelines that meet business expectations and analytics needs. The incumbent may perform the implementation of vendor-supplied software packages including the installation, customization, deployment, maintenance, and administration. The incumbent will be accountable for day-to-day support including rotational off-hour support. This individual will contribute to the project management activities including the identification of work tasks and their dependencies, estimating work effort, and contributing pertinent information as input to project evaluation and prioritization. The incumbent will interface and coordinate with vendors as well as server; database and network support as required, to ensure applications are stable, scalable and meet service level expectations. In a senior level position, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate advanced and broader technical skills, effectively support complex and large efforts, and function as a resource to provide assistance to others to resolve complex issues. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to provide technical mentoring as well as driving standards and best practices. The incumbent is expected to work effectively with minimal direction.

The capacity to grow towards shaping the future vision of Data and Analytics at Baystate or previous transformation experience is desirable. Experience with different delivery methodologies especially Agile Scrum and Waterfall, knowledge of analytics solutions, healthcare or business value perspectives is a plus.

Job Requirements:

1)

Design, create, automate, and maintain sophisticated programs that extract, convert, and load data including into data lakes, data warehouses and data marts

2)

Perform high-level analysis to establish and support data standards across the enterprise

3)

Write functional specifications, technical specifications and design document involving complex systems and solutions; Develop re-usable code to help streamline processes

4)

Solve complex data issues, enable performance improvements and adhere to data quality standards

5)

Promote efficiency and quality by utilizing streamlined processes, automated solutions and quality control measures as appropriate

6)

Generate, maintain and communicate documentation pertaining to logical modeling process, including data format, specifications and model release details

7)

Deliverables are well documented and knowledge transfer is provided to ensure effective on-call and back-up support .

8)

Participate in the assessment of new technology solutions for best fit into the Baystate Health technical environment balancing customer needs with technical feasibility and IT architectural standards

9)

Partner with other infrastructure teams to monitor and ensure the system is stable, reliable and meets service level expectations

10)

Coordinate with vendors for system specifications, troubleshooting and submission of support incidents

11)

Build a detailed understanding of the business to identify needs and address critical business issues

Support our customers consultatively, offering fresh approaches and value added solution recommendations

13)

Follow established IT and Team standards, best practices and release management procedures

14)

Define valid test plans for identified scope; Work with stakeholders to support business acceptance testing and signoff

15)

Perform and monitor unit/system/functional testing

16)

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in defect identification, resolution and documentation

17)

Ensure acceptability of testing outcomes occur prior to live implementation and defects detected by users in production are minimal

18)

Participate in team defined on-call rotational support; Provide timely response to problem tickets and issue resolution

19)

Maintain sufficient knowledge of applications and environment to provide effective on-call or backup support

20)

Instruct, direct, and/or guide other analysts or team members as needed

Minimally Required Experience:

• 10+years of relevant experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools

• 10+ years of experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL

• 10+ years of experience in ETL tools (IBM DataStage, Informatica, Ab initio, etc) and database integration with Oracle, SQL Server, and other databases

Skills/Competencies:

• • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts

• Proficient in all aspects of Data profiling

• Strong background in updating design documents, technical specifications and maintaining technical documentation

• Understanding of data architecture patterns and relevance to reporting and visualizations

• Experience in data modeling, dimensional modeling and building data marts

• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in problem identification, resolution and documentation.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a highly collaborative team

• Ability to quickly acquire knowledge related to business operations and product specifications

• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to interface with business as well as technical leaders, with a track record of being a consensus builder who works toward solution

• Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles

• Experience with data workflows, Job scheduling, SQL scripts and tools

• Knowledge in software delivery: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean

• Knowledge in Logical and Physical Modelling, data security and administration

• Develop and maintain data pipelines is a plus

• Cloud computing experience is a plus
