**This position is not currently funded and is contingent upon the award of a new contract to Amentum. At this time, Amentum is seeking candidates to fulfill contingent roles. The expected award timeframe is Summer 2024.**
The Senior Data Architect in Newport News, VA will provide technical leadership and governance of the big data team and the implementation of the solution architecture including the following responsibilities:
+ Design and build robust, high-performance, and adaptable solutions optimal for modern platform (Big Data/Relational/No-SQL/OLAP) with the ability to integrate technical functionality
+ Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2008, 2010, 2012
+ Responsible for the delivery of a robust scalable data architecture that meets the business goals of the organization
+ Institute, champion and implement analytics data
+ Collaborate with the Application Development team to analyze, identify, design, and implement processes for sourcing data
+ Provide technical thought leadership on High-Level Architecture and Design, data modeling, Big Data strategy & adoption for Ingestion and Analytics Applications within the Finance IT domain
+ Generate DDL script from data modeling tool and ensure the scripts proper function
+ Lead the architecture, design, and development of the business intelligence platform
+ Define technical principles, vision, and standards for the data warehouse
+ Ensure the design can scale to handle additional data demands
Minimum requirements:
+ Bachelors degree and 6 years of job-related experience, or equivalent
+ Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
