Sr. Applied Scientist, Alexa Devices

DESCRIPTION Amazon is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a strong machine learning background to help build industry-leading technology using generative AI.
As a part of the Devices organization, we are re-imagining how customers interact with their Echo, Fire TV and other smart devices. Our goal is to build harness the power of large language models (LLMs) to empower customers to have natural and ambient conversations with their devices. This is a rare opportunity to develop cutting edge AI/ML technologies in these areas and apply them to problems of this magnitude.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Seattle, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
