Collate this information into standard work packages for regular maintenance activities.Analyse maintenance costs to determine areas of significant expenditure to generate improvement initiatives and cost optimizations.Report weekly and monthly on maintenance performance indicators and present these to the Maintenance Superintendent with initiatives for continuous improvement.Develop the plan to provide supervision and management of internal & external resources outside of normal business hours when required for shutdowns and other major works.Developing and maintaining a safe working environment through compliance with the company's Health & Safety ProgramComplying with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler's roles and responsibilities defined in the planning and scheduling, planned, and break-in work processes.Backlog management, including weekly and monthly backlog reviews, purging aged work orders as requiredMaintains backlog to effectively manage maintenance workScoping jobs as necessary to include: All necessary job steps, required tooling, drawings and diagrams, parts, manpower, and safety elements to be addressedDetermining the required parts on each work order in the backlog; verifying parts are available and ordering parts as necessaryCoordinating with procurement to generate material purchase orders and agreed delivery datesDetermining the need for special support equipment and orders/schedules as necessaryChair and lead the weekly planning and scheduling meetingsDetermining the work order planned start dateControlling work orders to the 'Approved' and 'Ready to Schedule' statusAssisting in the development and maintenance of cost forecasting and budgetsUtilizing Condition Based Monitoring Reliability dataImplementing Demonstrated Best Planning PracticesCMMS Power User (SAP, Pronto or similar)Planning and coordinating equipment commissions/decommissionsReview completed PMs and update agreed changes to parts list and tasksReview and utilize technician feed back to develop new, and maintain current standard job plansSafety:Ensures that all tasks comply with Company health and safety requirements and policies and procedures and strengthens the culture of safety in the workplace.Demonstrate safety awareness.Participate in safety meetings and site safety programs.OtherCarries out all other duties that may reasonably be required.QualificationsQualifications:High School DiplomaDriver LicenseExperience:At least 5 years' production (heavy industrial plant) maintenance experience, including maintenance planning and scheduling.Previous planning experience in a continuous production/process plant environment.Has significant experience of fixed equipment, crushing, grinding, milling plant, rotating equipment and pressure vessels.Previous experience as a scheduler is a significant assetSupervisory / lead experience is preferredAdditional InformationPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Haile Gold Mine, Inc. promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing.OGC VALUES: CARE | RESPECT | INTEGRITY | PERFORMANCE | TEAMWORKOceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.If you share the same values and have what we are looking for, please apply online now via our careers website:https://careers.oceanagold.com/jobs** Shortlisting will commence immediately.
