Job Summary Telework (Within Minnesota or Neighboring States)¿and Flexible Hours Options Are Available.
Within the Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP), this position has responsibility for:
Payment policy application for specific benefits authorized and available under MHCP. Producing paid claims reports for hospitals. Generating and analyzing reports of current and future ambulatory rates areas such as Indian Health Service services, medical supplies and equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, outpatient hospital, free standing ambulatory surgery centers, laboratory, physician and ensuring accepted rates are accurately reflected in the MMIS system. Systems design, writing and submission of system change requests, testing and implementing system changes, data analysis, and a range of activities related to a fee-for-service program. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Two years professional experience working with Health Care Programs, health insurance or health care billing and health care claims adjudication, demonstrating the following:
Working knowledge of health care funding, payment or service delivery; Writing data queries, analysis and interpretation of data, measurement of performance and distillation of the data results for department use; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Bachelor's degree or higher degree in human services, business, healthcare or related field may substitute one year of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the state's Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) or similar health care claims adjudication system. Knowledge and understanding of federal and state legal authority as it relates to MHCP benefit and rate policies Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
