Job Description: POSITION TITLE: Special Program Coordinator, Grant Coordinator (Part-Time)
DEPARTMENT: Academic Affairs
PRIMARY LOCATION: Fall River
POSITION STATUS:  This is a part-time, grant-funded, non-unit, non-benefitted, 18.5 hours per week position through FY25-26. This position may be subject to grant appropriations.
SALARY : $32.00 an hour
STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Special Program Coordinator will serve as the coordinator and liaison for Perkins and WIOA Act. The position will be responsible for data and outcome monitoring for Perkins Core Indicators for Bristol Community College, presenting information related to institutional performance outcomes within the institution as well as reporting official numbers to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Additionally, the position will be responsible for the maintenance of institutional program listings on the Eligible Training Provider List for students accessing support through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act. This position will work with academic leaders to determine eligibility of program participation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Data Collection and Analysis- Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate data related to Perkins Core Indicators. This includes gathering information from various sources within the college and ensuring its accuracy and relevance.  Reporting- Work with the Office of Strategic Analytics to prepare and submit regular reports on institutional performance outcomes to both internal stakeholders and external entities like the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Compliance- Ensure compliance with Perkins and WIOA requirements in all reporting.  Program Eligibility Assessment- Collaborate with academic leaders to assess and determine the eligibility of various academic programs for inclusion in initiatives like the Perkins Act and WIOA.  Maintenance of Eligible Training Provider List- Regularly update and maintain the institutional program listings on the Eligible Training Provider List, ensuring it reflects current offerings and complies with WIOA guidelines.  Internal Data Presentations- Provide data and analysis to support decision-making processes within the college. This could involve presenting findings to academic and administrative leaders to inform program development and institutional strategy.  Stakeholder Communication- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including academic departments, administrative staff, and external agencies, to gather data and disseminate findings.  Documentation and Record Keeping- Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes for audit and review purposes.  Training and Development- Stay informed about changes in Perkins and WIOA regulations and requirements, and participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.  Technology Utilization- Utilize and manage relevant data management and analysis software and tools effectively that are already adopted by the college. Ensure data security and integrity in all processes.  Collaboration and Teamwork- Work collaboratively with different departments and teams within the college to achieve common goals related to Perkins and WIOA initiatives.  Problem-Solving and Innovation- Identify challenges in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes and develop innovative solutions to address them. Demonstrate a sense of professionalism; consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community. Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment.* Minimum of three years of leadership experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations.* *An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience shall be considered. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in developing and implementing educational and training sessions and presentations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.  Experience in Student Information System products (Banner) and in data visualization tools (Tableau).  Advanced understanding of the use of WOIA Funds to support student learning. Experience as a Perkins officer for an institution of higher education.
