Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold appropriate Special Education Certification and have a strong commitment to supporting the individualized needs of students in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
Provide direct instruction and support to students in virtual classrooms, utilizing innovative technology and educational resources.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic growth and success.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and independence.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on support strategies.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
Appropriate Special Education Certification required.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
Strong understanding of virtual learning platforms and technology tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
