Utilizing an innovative and comprehensive five-step coaching process tailored to each student, we empower them to excel in key life skills such as planning, organization, self-advocacy, and time management.
Your Role:
Your primary responsibility will be conducting one-on-one coaching sessions with students to enhance their skills. You'll assess their initial skill levels, match them with suitable coaches, and guide them through regular sessions. Additionally, you'll facilitate Family Team Meetings to celebrate progress, set new goals, and assign responsibilities.
Accountabilities:
You'll be accountable for the successful development of your students' skills, monitoring their progress, and evaluating the effectiveness of your interventions. Clear and open communication with students, their families, and team members is also vital.
A Day in Your Life:
Your typical day will involve remote coaching sessions with students, reviewing progress, updating coaching strategies, and documenting results. Collaboration with team members, participation in administrative tasks, and ongoing professional development are also part of your routine. Sessions will primarily occur in the afternoon and evening, with a four-hour window on weekends. Regular attendance at Tuesday morning Team Meetings is expected.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent.
Relevant credentials such as special education instruction authorization or licensure in counseling or psychology.
Preferred minimum of three years of teaching and/or coaching experience.
