Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Elementary Resource Teacher to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will have the opportunity to work both onsite and remotely, with the flexibility to work remotely up to 40% of the time. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting evaluations, writing IEPs, and collaborating with the special education team to ensure the success of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments for students with diverse learning needs
Write initial and annual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement behavior support plans
Maintain knowledge of MN special education criteria and due process procedures
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Uphold the mission and core values, promoting a justice-centered school community
Qualifications:
MN Special Education Teaching License
Experience with special education evaluations and IEP development
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
