Job DescriptionThe Maven Group's global Aerospace and Defense client is seeking to bring on a talented Space Vehicle Power Architect for either its Palm Bay, FL or Fort Wayne, IN offices. This is a full-time direct-hire role with our awesome client. Candidates not local to the Palm Bay or Fort Wayne area that need relocation assistance can be considered and assistance will be provided.
To be considered, all candidates must have a Security Clearance OR be eligible to obtain one. This position will have a 9/80 work schedule (off every other Friday).
My client is looking for a talented Space Vehicle Power Architect in spacecraft power design and spacecraft electrical power subsystem (EPS) architecture development. This individual should have thorough knowledge of spacecraft power subsystems and associated auxiliaries: including solar arrays, batteries, power conversion topologies, charging systems, power control/switching techniques, regulation, distribution, monitor & protection, fault handling and power quality.
The chosen Architect will work with internal and external functional/cross-functional teams developing technology roadmaps, assisting in design, and resolving issues in current development efforts, as well as engage, influence and drive future architecture product offerings and proposals.
Ideal candidates will possess: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with at least 12 years of relevant experience, OR a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years or experience.7+ years of experience with interpreting high level requirements and performance specifications to develop spacecraft power architecture.7+ years of experience in power conversion topologies, power devices application and implementation, control loop theory, thermal management, custom magnetics design, PWB layout and EMI filtering.Active Security Clearance OR be eligible to obtain one.Get extra points for possessing any of the following: Active TS/SCI ClearanceExcellent inter-personal and communication skills; effectively interacting with cross-functional teams and across all levels of Leadership.Experience with mission/requirements definition, concept generation, trade studies, test support materials selection, and design documentation.Experience collaborating with manufacturing operation for fabrication in a program team environment.Thorough knowledge of spacecraft power subsystems including solar arrays, batteries, power conversion topologies, charging systems, power control/switching methodologies, regulation, distribution, monitor & protection, fault handling and power quality.Experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and Failure Review Boards (FRB).Matlab/Simulink, Mathcad proficiency.Mentor Graphics knowledge is a plus.
