Salary Range:

$27.65/hr. - $37.74/hr.

Responsibilities

Leads and manage the daily operation and administration of the Solid Waste Division, which includes setting vision, planning, organizing, establishing and tracking customer service goals, refuse and recycling collection services and household hazardous waste to provide best, most effective services possible.
It is also expected that the services will grow and evolve to include broader environmental services, like composting.
Performs all other related duties as assigned or directed in order to promote, further, and ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Solid Waste Division.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in an applicable position or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Knowledge of principles and practices of integrated solid waste management, including recycling, source reduction, and diverse programs.
Valid Kansas Driver's License required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in environmental studies, public administration, business, biological sciences, natural resources management, urban planning, or a related field.
