Job summary
The Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) will perform field maintenance and learn to follow safe work practices of the solar industry.The technician will service and repair solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.They will also be responsible for documenting work performed and suggesting process improvements.

Responsibilities
• Stress the importance of safety and ensure all employees follow safe practices.• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks on solar equipment.• Replace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision.• Respond to emergency equipment repairs as directed by supervisor.• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.• Assess and suggest improved processes, collaborate on new technologies, and coordinate with EPC management.• Uphold diversity and inclusion as part of SOLV Energy culture.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent.• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.• Basic knowledge of a solar installation/plant.• Basic computer operation skills.• Ability to follow instructions and obtain necessary safety certifications.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Effective organizational skills.• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and be on call.• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
