The engineering team at Juniper Networks is looking for a software engineer to develop highly scalable, distributed engineering infrastructure. We are looking for an extremely motivated engineer, who is interested in building carrier-grade networking infrastructure, in a fast-paced cutting-edge environment. This person should be passionate, motivated, and self-driven.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain engineering infrastructure using infrastructure as a code methods.Work to improve the efficiency, scalability, and operability of our existing CI/CD pipelines and corresponding services.Drive proper use of technologies for infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and usage tracking. Provide insight on future infrastructure needs based on dataHelp mentor junior software developersProvide input on areas where tooling and infrastructure can be improved from emerging technologies.Cloudify our existing tools to enable automation of our cloud-based resources.Develop and maintain automation tools to be used by our engineering organization to help with building, testing, and releasing our software.Participate in design and code reviews.Qualifications
B.S or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field7+ years experience developing large-scale software systems3+ years of experience leading technical teamsPython programming experienceExperience with infrastructure as a code and managing large number of systems ( Terraform, ansible, cloud native APIs, etc.. )Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc..)Experience with Test Driven Development and maintaining a stable and efficient Continuous Integration systemsAbility to deliver clean, modular code quickly and efficientlyComputer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, problem solving, and complexity analysisHigh degree of competency working with multi-threaded developmentExperience developing on Linux operating systemsStrong communication skills, both in written and verbal, to effectively understand and convey issues and solutions to peers and end users.Experience with Agile development processExperience with network designExperience with Test-Driven Development and Continuous IntegrationExperience with TerraformExperience with AnsibleExperience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)Experience with JenkinsExperience with Packer
Minimum Salary: $140,096.00
Maximum Salary:$201,388.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $140,096.00 and $201,388.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
