Join our dynamic technology team as a Software Engineer III, where you will play a crucial role in developing innovative software solutions for our mobile retail operations. In this position, you will collaborate closely with both technical teams and business units to design, develop, and enhance software systems that support our ongoing business initiatives. You will act as the primary contact for resolving production issues and ensuring that our applications and web services meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation: Develop and implement software solutions that enhance the functionality and user experience in our mobile retail environments. Modify and enhance existing software as well as create new applications to meet business needs.
Problem Solving: Serve as the first point of escalation for incident resolution in production environments, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently in line with Service Level Agreements.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify software issues and devise remediation strategies. Provide excellent service and support to our internal customers.
Testing & Integration: Conduct thorough unit and integration testing of all software configurations to ensure functionality, reliability, and integration with existing systems.
System Analysis & Feedback: Offer proactive system analysis and provide feedback to enhance overall system performance. Influence system design by recommending software enhancements based on detailed analysis.
Training & Support: Advise and train users on new features and functionalities, enhancing their understanding and utilization of our systems.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience with MVC frameworks such as Apache Struts, Hibernate, Spring, and front-end technologies including jQuery, Bootstrap, and AngularJS. Proficient in Java, C++, SQL, and PL/SQL. Minimum 2 years of experience with web technologies such as JavaScript, Ajax, XML, HTML, and server-side scripting, and comprehensive knowledge of databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud solutions like AWS.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to high-quality software development.
