Requisition Summary As an application development manager, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of IT solutions that support our business partners and customers. You will work closely with the business stakeholders to understand their needs, priorities, and processes, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations. You will also supervise and mentor a large team of IT professionals. You will be expected to keep up with the latest technologies, solutions, and best practices in the IT industry, and align your work with the global IT strategy and vision.
Job Functions / Responsibilities Supervise, develop, and mentor a large team in business liaison skills, vendor engagements, requirement definition, recommendation/proposal development, as well as project management. Lead the Agile/Scrum practice (sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, daily sprint meetings). Develop an understanding of the business drivers, processes, and priorities. Manage the project pipeline and prioritization process. Collaborate on resource allocation efforts. Keep abreast of information technologies, solutions, and vendors that address business requirements. Build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers. Develop recommendations, plans, and strategies to mature the overall IT portfolio to achieve business objectives. Create plan and lead execution of product deployment, business integrations, and Project Proof of Concepts aligned with industry best practices. Develop strategic alignment with the global IT organization and other PACCAR divisions. Perform project management functions to include, create project plans, manage customer requirements. Guide projects to completion while ensuring budget, schedule, and deliverable targets are achieved. Effectively communicate project updates to senior executives. Implement and audit compliance with PACCAR policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 8 – 10 years of technical work experience Minimum of 5 years related work experience to include staff management, large scope project management, industry experience. Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies is required. Minimum 3 years of experience managing or supervising a software development team. Excellent execution skills. Ability to achieve results and progress. Creativity and resourcefulness to get the results. Strong project leadership skills to include driving for results, communicating with all levels of management, exceptional presentation skills, budget/schedule/resource control, risk management, stakeholder management, requirements management, and scope management. Proven skills in developing global systems roadmap and IT strategy for business functions. Ability to quickly understand business drivers and processes to gain credibility with business leadership. Solid understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle. Excellent problem solving skills. Excellent understanding and ability to work collaboratively with business partners and processes. Candidates will also be MS Office proficient, possess strong analytical skills, have excellent interpersonal skills, and have proven written and verbal communication skills.
