The
SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Engineer
will contribute to optimizing and standardizing the organization's SDLC platform, focusing on implementing DevSecOps best practices and automating testing processes. They will design methodologies, and configure the CI/CD frameworks, tools, and systems that enable the delivery and performance of business applications. This role reports to the Director of DevSecOps and requires extensive collaboration with Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Business Unit IT Delivery teams, and Technology Operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelinesfor automated testing and deployment.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC)for continuous configuration.
Partner with security teamsto integrate security practices into the development process.
Collaborate with business unitsto understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Assist in developing and enforcing standardized development methodologies and tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines,analyzing metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Participate in the DevSecOps Transformation Program,promoting agile methodologies and DevSecOps best practices.
Build strong relationshipswith cross-functional teams,including engineers,security specialists,architects,and business stakeholders.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and DevOps trends.
Specific Expertise:
Test Automation: Design and develop automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks (e.g.,Selenium,Cypress) for unit,integration,and API testing.
TDD/BDD: Adopt TDD/BDD principles to write tests before or alongside code,ensuring functionality aligns with user requirements and design
specifications.
DevSecOps: Understand and implement DevSecOps principles and practices,integrating security considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software development or related field.
Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g.,Jenkins,GitHub,Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
Understanding of TDD/BDD principles and experience applying them in development projects.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
