Job Title: Software Development Engineer 2
Pay Range: $45/hr. to $50/hr.
Contract: 6 - 18 Months (Remote, PST Time Zone)
Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Software Development Engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems essential for computer operations. This role involves researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years' experience with C Sharp coding in .NET environment.
Minimum 5-7 years' experience with Azure cloud technologies.
Minimum 5-7 years' experience with Visual Studio.
Job Responsibilities:
Modify existing databases and database management systems.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, specifying identifiers of databases to management systems or guiding others in coding descriptions.
Collaborate as part of a project team to coordinate database development, determine project scope, and identify limitations.
Review project requests outlining database user needs to estimate time and cost required for project completion.
Skills: Required development experience in .NET environment using Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code.
Required DevOps experience with ADO build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
Required proficiency in writing automated tests using .NET unit testing tools.
Required knowledge of Azure cloud technologies.
Preferred experience with SDK development, generating SDKs using Kiota.
Preferred understanding of AAD authentication and OAuth integrations.
Preferred familiarity with working with Substrates.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
Fundamental knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business/systems analysis through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development, testing, and delivery.
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
Fundamental understanding of computer hardware and software.
