As an Innovation Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting development teams to achieve impactful solutions that enable Fugro to deliver Geo-data in the shortest time and with high trust. The ideal candidate is a life-long learner with a love of technology who brings out the best in the teams they work through, making the decisions that require an understanding of the problem as well as the solution and ensuring decisions are documented clearly to enable work to continue with confidence.
Job Responsibilities
Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk. Develop technical strategies, architecture, and associated roadmaps to guide project development and implementation. Lead technology ideation, Proof of Concept (PoC) development, and provide guidance on implementation strategies. Maintain professional relevance through continuous learning, active participation in professional organizations, and staying updated on industry best practices. Ensure compliance with security and performance standards, identifying and addressing issues as they arise. Collaborate closely with lead engineers, product managers, and domain experts to design and document technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Directly influence the vision and objectives of your team's work, ensuring alignment with business and market needs to drive value effectively. Job Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 8+ years' experience in development, architecture, as well as leadership roles. Ability to work hybrid schedule: Minimum of 2 days in office per week with 3 days working remote. Knowledge of GIS systems, point cloud system, 3D environments will be an advantage. Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills. Proven track record of customer-centric architecture promoting simplicity and urgency towards Time to Market. Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and self-motivated.
