Day to Day:
A Manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor (2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon-Fri) for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the CNC fabrication of metal parts, including pumps and compressors involving complex impellors and inducers, for use in multiple growing industries. You will manage a staff of 15 direct Machinists, and an additional support staff of a 15 Assemblers, Logistics Coordinators, and Planners. Responsibilities include 70% keeping the shop on track with production schedules, including multiple cells in the machine shop, reacting accordingly to a dynamic environment, and maintaining clear communication to day shift. You will spend 20%+ of your time connecting with, coaching, and counselling employees, setting expectations, identifying areas to train, and taking corrective actions when necessary. The last 10% will be spend on process improvements. This is a very hands-on roll that does not spend a lot of time in meetings, but rather is focused on executing the production plan.

Must Haves:
5+ years' experience in CNC Manufacturing Environment CNC
3+ years demonstrated leadership exp (competing priorities, problem solving, process improvement)
Knowledge of Machining methods and equipment capabilities
Forklift certification
Working examples of improving a process or improving a flow, communicating ideas
Safety focused, quality
Experience working in a dynamic environment

Plusses:
Lean 6 Sigma/Continuous improvement experience
APICS Certification
ERP System - JDE 9.2 preferred
Production Planning experience
