Shop LeadClosets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to immediately fill the position of Production Shop Lead. The ideal candidate will be a hands on leader, who will effectively deliver a high quality product that is produced cost-effectively, efficiently and on-time with the highest positive impact to the financial bottom line. The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Job Responsibilities:Managing the plant's daily operations and employeesUnderstanding company product lines, equipment & machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniquesEnforcing quality assurance standardsEnforcing safety standardsThe ability to interact with sales staff to review designs, as defined by ownerMaintaining factory equipment and company vehiclesReview Jobs for accuracyForecasting production requirements and maintaining necessary inventory levelsProblem resolution and customer service with clientsJob Requirements:Prior supervisory experience (2-5 years), with hiring responsibilitiesExperience in woodworking or cabinet making fields (32mm systems a plus)Experience with woodworking equipment and hand toolsExcellent problem solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast paced environmentQuality and safety consciousAbility to drive bottom line results while maintaining service orientationIf you are motivated to succeed and have a passion to lead others, then you deserve to learn more about this opportunity!
